I have a large garden and trim something every day. This pruner is perfect. It has been manufactured to rest comfortably in the hand, comes apart in a clever way for easy sharpening and has two blades---light heavier branches. Beautifully designed of the highest quality.

I use it everywhere in the garden. It fits in my pocket, and I pull it out as I walk through my garden to deadhead, cut off dead branches, and pick flowers for bouquets. I love the fact that it doesn't get "stuck" open - or closed. Great design!

I love the way these cut, loved the way they felt until I realized that they were pinching the palm of my hand. Have to adjust the way I generally hold pruners to prevent it.

These are the best hand clippers I have ever owned. They were absolutely as good as advertised. The handy belt clip means I don't lose them in the garden while working. The ease of use and cutting power far exceed others I have tried. Great product!

I'm a lefthander and find the lock mechanism of most clippers designed for righthanders. These are hand neutral, indeed, I use them in both hands. They are half the price of a Felco without jamming or sticking.

Great cut, unwieldy grip

PROS

  • Lightweight
  • Powerful

CONS

  • Poor Grip

BEST USES

  • In The Yard

Comments:

Use this for deadheading, trimming in large garden. It's lightweight, powerful, nice clean cuts. Really easy adjustment of tightness, but if not exactly right won't close properly. Grip too wide, hard to hold especially for one with 'petite' in the name. Can't carry in pocket of work pants because it opens up.

I am in love with these pruners -- Read a review in Fine Gardening for the petite size and wasn't sure that was what I wanted as I have good sized hands for a woman but they're perfect. Bigger would be no better and probably heavier. Totally pleased thus far with the purchase.

Ok on big things, not so much on small

PROS

CONS

  • Lacks Power

Comments:

This pruner has a great shape, easy open and close too. If you put it in your pocket, it tends to open on its own. As far as pruning ability, it does great on large stems, but tends to just squish and mash smaller stems.

Comments:

I have the AirShoc Lopper and one of the Pruners. When I used them this weekend, I was amazed at how well they worked, and pleased with how visible they were in the grass when I put them down. My big azalea was half dead, and the branches were pretty big. I was able to get all the way to the back with the Lopper, and it took care of the 3/4 inch branches back there. The Pruner worked really well, and I was able to cut hard, dead, 1/2 inch branches with a little work. My hydrangeas needed help this weekend, too, and earlier in the spring. The pruner went through the branches so easily. With my old tools, my hands would hurt after a lot of pruning, but this time, they did not. The soft grip feels good, and keeps the pain away. THE AIRSHOC LINE IS EXCELLENT! Terri Nickerson
